The injection stretch blow molding process of PET bottles is a three step process: first the PET resin is injected in a tube-shaped preform, then this amorphous preform is heated above the glass transition temperature and transfered inside a mold. Finally the preform is inflated with stretch rod assistance in order to obtain the desired bottle shape.
